Seacrest gift to provide scholarships

A generous contribution from James and Rhonda Seacrest of Lincoln, Nebraska, will provide $1,000 to the Nette Nelson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The gift will be used to assist rural community leaders participating at the Heartland Center’s annual institutes. The Heartland Center gratefully acknowledges the support of these long-time rural advocates who have devoted their time, energy and resources to strengthening rural leadership in Nebraska.

Since 1992, more than 800 rural leaders have increased their skills and revitalized their spirit by participating in Helping Small Towns Succeed and/or Skill-Building for Stronger Communities. Many of these folks could not have attended had it not been for the scholarships they received through our generous supporters.
