Evaluation

If your program calls for a formal evaluation, call on the Heartland Center. Our nationally experienced team will work with you to custom design and carry out both formative and summative evaluation models. We triangulate data sources and use quantitative and qualitative data gathering methods, such as surveys, phone and face-to-face interviews, focus groups and grantee chat groups or list serves. The Center encourages honest and open reporting by assuring privacy regarding sensitive information.

Our goal is to create a continuous feedback loop that will improve your program and impress your funders. Our staff includes professionals in report writing and desktop publishing. Whether you're looking at short-term activities or long-term analysis, you can count on us to meet all your evaluation needs from design to completed report.

The Heartland Center can also train your community or organization to conduct your own evaluation. Need ideas for evaluating what works in your community? Our workshop, Measuring for Success, shows you how to make the monitoring and evaluation process easier and more valuable. Develop creative thinking about outcomes, indicators and measures. Discover ways to identify hard, quantitative data within "soft" programs. Explore how to use measurements for grant writing and marketing success, and learn to adapt successful models for your own project.
